After a few hours of sleep, the trip started off with lunch and the specialty for lunch was PEKING DUCK!!! woohoo... it was really good and after lunch we left for tian an men square and the forbidden city, it was amazing to see the city in person i was amazed of the architecture and the size of the city and history of the forbidden city and tian an men square. It was really a good experience to walk through the city and learning what each gate and structure was for during the Qing dynasty. Its a place to go when u are in Beijing, maybe to some of u history might be boring but this is a must here and go and according to the tour guide, the forbidden city is at the center or the heart of Beijing and it will always be in the center. so thats one fact for u.. :) .. After the city it was almost the end of the day, so we went to watch a kung fu acrobatic show and then later went back to get more rest for the next day.
When i woke up the next day and went downstairs, to my amazement i saw white stuff falling from the sky.. IT WAS SNOW!!!!!!!! IT WAS SNOWING!! i asked the bus driver whether it snowed recently and he told me that it was the first time it snowed in December and it didnt usually snow so early, in my mind i was thinking that it could be more of god's work. It was really cool... i got to taste the snow and as my usual scientific self i examined the snowflake and i know this is a bit jakun but i actually finally got to see the shape of a single snowflake...... it was really cool to finally see snow even though my mum has told me that i have seen snow for the umphteen time when i went to America when i was young. Anywayz, we headed for some tourist places and the tomb of an emperor... forgot who it really was cause i all wanted to do was hang outside in the wnowy wheather... As we went out towards the country side and away from the city, the snowing got heavier and i enjoyed it more i manage to create a small snowman and throw snowballs at the tour guide who threw a few back later on..... when it was time to board the bus as pay back.. lol... After all those nonsence, we headed for the great wall.. it was always my dream to be able to climb the great wall.. and listening to the stories that it is really steep and it is hard to climb.. made me want to climb it even more.. and when we reached there... all i ever wanted to do was climb.. my parents kept on wanting to take pictures but all i did was beg them to go climb.... in the end me and my dad climbed up. My mum didnt follow cause she had a fractured arm and she was scared and.... boy... were the stories true.... it was really steep and worse part of it was since it was snowing, the ground was slippery but i still went anywayz.. :P on the way up i met carol screaming for her mummy... haha.. it was really funny... well couldnt blame her, her brother left her to climb up by herself while he zoomed up like it was an easy task... so me and my dad helped her (thank you god.. haha) and we slowly climbed up.... and reaching up there was like a success in life although the view wasnt that amazing because of the stupid mist but it was one of my life's challenges completed... LOL. After taking some pictures and getting the certificate for climbing and reaching the top alive we started our decent... and it was harder than climbing up... This time carol cried out for her mommy more... lol... but i found out a way for giving us more grip while decending down the steps... just push the snow on to the ground.. so i took charge of pushing the snow while carol and my dad climbed down... carol's brother on the other hand had already climbed down faster than us but we had to help carol so it took a bit longer... i didnt mind cause it helped my dad and carol climb down the steps easier... i didnt really care about my safety and therefore led me to slip a few times... oh well.. thats me... :)
